SANAE SUZUKI
Co-owner of Seed Kitchen and Macrobiotic Director for both Seed Bistro and Seed Kitchen, Sanae has been a Whole Health Practitioner, Flower Essence Practitioner and Certified Therapeutic Massage Therapist to people and pets for many years. Her passion is dedicated to preparing and teaching natural foods and pursuing a holistic and macrobiotic lifestyle.

Sanae's passion and commitment to a macrobiotic lifestlye developed when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1993. Her diagnosis inspired her to learn about macrobiotics as a path to healing her cancer, which she did successfully through much effort and studies. In addition, eight years later, she suffered a near-fatal car accident in the Arizona desert which demanded her to apply her macrobiotic knowledge and experience. It was through practicing and embracing the philosophy of macrobiotics that enabled her toovercome these two extreme life challenges.

Sanae writes from her heart about her healing journey with macrobiotics in her cookbook, “love, sanae”, which features vegan macrobiotic healing recipes and tips for healthy living. It is an expansive book that breaks down what macrobiotics is in a step-by-step fashion so that many more people can cook delicious and healing macrobiotic meals. It is her desire to help plant the "seed" of physical, intellectual, and spiritual happiness within each person she meets.
